The TBA Architects Design Team has succeeded in establishing itself as an expert in the specialized renovation and restoration of New England's Historic Barn Structures.  Projects in Massachusetts and surrounding areas, range from Municipal Facilities Restoration and Renovation to Private Residence Conversion and Adaptive Reuse. Our services extend from feasibility and master planning through design and construction.

For our excellence in the area of Historic Preservation, TBA has been recognized by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. Department of the Interior and numerous municipalities.

We advance our clients' interests through thoughtful programming and technical analysis of the historic structure. TBA pays attention to building systems to make sure that our restoration designs optimize the existing space and fabric of the building.

TBA is particularly expert in the restoration and renovation of building envelopes for historic structures. We are adept at stabilization, materials upgrades, and improvements or replacements of envelope features including roofs, windows, siding, entries, and finishes while maintaining the historical context and integrity of the structure. TBA has planned and executed the renovation, historic restoration, and conversion of historic barn structures of all building types, from the 17th to the 20th Centuries.
