Our Practice
With our dedication to design, planning, and project management, TBA proudly serves the public, non-profit, and private sectors in Massachusetts and beyond through every step of the process.
TBA’s design perspective is informed by a philosophy of culturally sustainable architecture, by which we support the concept that the structures created to serve the public purpose are renewed, repurposed, and reimagined over time to meet the fluctuating requirements of the societal context in which they are embedded. Our aim is to create a network of facilities that best serve the community that inhabits them by adapting existing buildings to meet current needs and designing the environments of our newly constructed buildings to serve current functions as well as to be easily adapted to future potential uses.
Principles
We adhere to standards and principles in Civic Engagement, Sustainability, Accessibility & Universal Design, as well as an unwavering commitment to the Collaborative Process in all of our work, providing TBA with a solid foundation for all our projects and endeavors.
Specialties
Our expertise in Physical and Financial Feasibility Assessment, Adaptive Reuse, Historic Preservation, Building Envelope Repair, Space Planning, and Alternative Construction Methods are the tools by which TBA has firmly established its reputation as a dynamic and creative force within the design community of the greater Boston area.
