Envelope Repair

TBA Architects are specialists in building envelope repair. From studies to full service, TBA’s experience extends to all building types including schools, commercial buildings, municipal buildings, and housing. Our work includes window repair and replacement, masonry and foundation repointing and repairs, wood restoration, and roof repairs and replacement.

TBA has successfully completed repairs to numerous National Historic Register properties. Our philosophy has been to work within limited budgets to preserve existing materials and design replacement systems that enhance and reinforce the design and style of historic buildings.

Our work at Washington Mills in Lawrence, MA earned TBA the prestigious Historic Preservation Award from the Massachusetts Historic Commission and was also cited by the U.S. Department of the Interior. The City of Newton presented TBA with a Newton Preservation Award for the restoration of the exterior and gazebo of the Newton Corner Library.
